: KNIME Image Processing: Overview & Outlook

Image mining nowadays plays an outstanding role when trying to gain information about any biological sample: The information content obtained from raw data (microscope images) depicts the basis for any further modeling of the biological system.

  • Within this workshop we will introduce KNIME as a new open source software platform which enables highly sophisticated image mining workflows to be set up by non-expert users. The software platform bundles a wide variety of image processing and data mining tools being developed during the last decade and makes them available in a simple graphical workflow arrangement.
